Moving image & COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE

Poplar Trees: Slow movement of wind, slow movement of light.

Collaboration with Composer Simon Knighton.

The first of three narrative films exploring human relationships to sky over time. The films are currently exhibited at Creswell Crags Museum. They are part of a larger research project with a team of Heritage Historians and Astronomers at Nottingham Trent University, exploring the following themes:

Deep Past & Your Past

Time & Nature

Scientific & Mystic

Curiosity & Wonder

Three Perspectives: Collaboration with RNCM and PRISM on the topic of Milankovitch Cycles. Combined archival materials from NASA, and original microscopic footage of ice melting.

Commission for Women of Words - an interpretation of ‘Maid, Mother, and Crone’.

A narrative film exploring ‘Place’ as Intangible Heritage - When I consider cities and open stretches of land, I think of intangible heritage. Something I can feel, something I can and cannot see, something I can and cannot describe the history of, the extent of its life.
